Default Dyno!

I have a 98 npi GT. Current mods are cai, u/d pullys, o/r x pipe, straight through cat back, 78 mm tb and same size fuel plenum. I also have 4:10 rear gears. Any guesses on how much power she will make after dyno tuning with sct handheld? my appointment is this coming tuesday i will post up actuall numbers sometime next week? please reply with guess to give me an idea. Stock was 225 hp at the crank and 290 lb ft of tq at the crank.

IMHO, that 78mm tb isn't doin much for your car until you start doin some real mods to the motor. 75mm is even a lil much.

My guess is that you're not gonna get more than 240hp with current mods, if that. That's just a general guess though.

+1 When I have my 98 with npi head on with every bolt on's you can get I only laided 215rwhp. A stock 98 will lay around 180rwhp.

You need to get pi heads with a cam cuz I went from 215rwhp 280rwtq to 305rwhp 318rwtq.

ok, I'm confused. I thought the OP was asking for the hp rating at the crank. As referred to in his original post.

Stock was 225 hp at the crank and 290 lb ft of tq at the crank.

^It says he is going on a dyno and most people specified rwhp with their guess. What more do you want?

I don't want anything. I was just pointing out the fact that someone asked about apples and got answers referring to oranges.

My answer was in referance to the crank rating. That's all.
