Default So, Its been a While. Update on the S/C Setup

Ok so, I bought a vortech t-trim and inter cooler (and power pipe) a while ago now, and have had it sitting in my room for about 3 months now. Anyways, I just got off the phone with the guy whos gonna tune my car and he basically said that a front mount inter cooler is **** and not to even really try to mess with it. Well, anyways, because I want only about 400 wrhp anyways, he said that I would be fine just simply buying the vortec air intake/discharge assembly, and doing it non-inter cooled. I could always down the road decide to forge my internals and then throw on the inter cooler and really crank up the boost.

Anyways, so here is the update:

I just finished buying:
-BBK 78mm Throttle Intake (96-04 GT)
-Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite Boost/Vac Gauge - Mechanical
-Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite Oil Pressure Gauge - Mechanical
-Mustang Dual Gauge Pillar Dark Charcoal (late 03-04 coupe)
-Vortech Air Intake Assembly for 1996-2004 Ford Mustang GT with 4.6L
-Vortech Discharge Assembly for 1996-2004 Ford Mustang GT with 4.6L (Satin)
-Vortech Oil Feed Assembly for 1996-2004 Ford Mustang with 4.6L & 1996-2001 Ford Mustang Cobra with 4.6L
-Vortech Oil Drain Assembly for 1996-2004 Ford Mustang with 4.6L & 1996-1998 Ford Mustang Cobra with 4.6L
-Vortech Mounting Bracket Assembly for 2000-2004 Ford Mustang GT with 4.6L

The only thing left I have to buy is a fuel pump. I am waiting on one to pop up on ebay or something. I will more then likely be buying one tonight, or as soon as I find one.

Just wanted to give you guys the update. I know its been a while. School has been kicking my *** (18 hours is no joke).

Anyways, looking to be throwing the S/C on in t-4 weeks.

PS

Anybody know the discount code for AM?

I think his name is AMnick or something like that for discount code. Congrats, so you are like 90% parts now? After spending all of that dough, and only needing the fuel filter, I would probably just settle and buy the best deal you can find at the moment. Fuel filters seem to be hard to find cheap lately for whatever reason.

ps. I don't know a lot about the T trim, but even if you can get your power levels where you want without a method of cooling, dont expect them to be real consistent as your IATs will most likely not be.

There is no problem with getting it running with out a method for cooling.. it's just not my favorite idea. But it's your money, your car and your time. So more power to ya.

Sounds fun though!

Okay I understand now. You can always put it on later when you do big boost like you said in your first post. Good luck with your setup.
