Default Misfire questions please help

I recently washed/ detailed my engine bay. I covered the alternator and both coil packs with plastic bags not wanting to get them wet. Now it has a misfire when it is under a load from about 2700rpm til about 3300 rpm and then it clears up but it does it trough 3rd 4th and i have read a bunch of forums were guys have had the same problem and it clears up after about 3 days well its been a week. When it first started happening a took the car for about a 60 mile joy ride and it helped it out a lot, it cleared first and second up. I have probably put about 80 miles on it since last week. So do i just need to drive it more and hope it clears up or do i need to do something else if so then what. thanks

pull all your cops out, spray them out with compressed air. spray out your spark plug wells with compressed air also.

it is VERY common for people to post up misfiring because they detailed their engine bay. these engines with COPS are pretty picky with moisture. honestly the best way to clean your engine bay is spray cleaner into a cloth and spot clean. if you layed some plastic over stuff and sprayed out your motor, thats where your problem is comming from.

i wrecked my car last year and the body shop was doing a TERRIBLE job repairing it. so the third time i sent the car back (with lots of pleasant vocabulary this time), they spent a little more time on the paint job and even detailed the engine bay. they were nice enough to spray a garden hose into the motor so when i got in the car to testdrive it, it was misfiring so bad it couldnt even hold idle. drove it around the parking lot, parked, popped the hood, and there was half an inch of water standing on my intake manifold. said they replaced 3 cops and dried out the plug wells and it was fine.
