Default question on SCT tuning procedure

Hey guys,
Got my car out of storage and have begun playing ,installed a accufab upper plenum & 70mm T/B. The car ran perfect before the swap, the car runs better now but my idle is just a little high, around 1000. I have a brenspeed tune (emailed them but no response yet) and I figured , I'll just lower the idle with my tuner. I did just that but then the car didn't have the sheer snap it did, but idled at 550 and ran fine with a/c & all. I also did the iac mod which works great. The car drives great either way but definitely want the power with the lower "stopped" idle speed. When I start to program vehicle,If I use saved is when it feels weaker, if i use default it runs awesome, just idles high. any ideas where Im going wrong? Isn't saved the last tune? Im thinking I should be able to download default settings, then select saved then adjust idle... ?
Thanks.
