If you dont mind spending the seat time to form the driver mod. If you get drag radials with bolt on power and 4.10's, driver mod isnt as crucial as it would be with regular street tires/all-seasons.

I would get some tires other than some Nitto 555's. I have 4.10 gears and a Auburn posi and I still have the exact same problem as you....little to no traction in first and most of second. No matter what I do, I can't hook up. Slipping the clutch, heating the tires alittle or non at all, nothing works. Try some Falken 452's or some Toyo Proxies. Pretty good tires for the price and I used to have Toyo Proxies on my old mustang with a little more power with no traction problems on the street.

I'd get the second set for the rear so when winter hits you have tires that will do you well.

So I didn't get new tires yet, and I have been spending sometime in the suspension part of the forum. As far as traction goes, this may be a no brainer to get new tires, but does anyone think I should get some rear upper and lower control arms first? I've been reading that they help with launching.

If youre going to do control arms, get lowers only i'd suggest with spherical bushings instead of urethane. But i'd do that as well as new tires. And BTW, i went with Nitto NT05's with bolt-on power and 4.10's and i got some of first back and most of 2nd, if not all of it. Just something to think about.
