For the brakes, the mach 1/bullitts/cobras all use the same brakes as stated above... I purchased the mach 1 rear brakes bc i got them for $75 for ALL of that. the calipers with pads, moan braces, dust shields, rotors and mounting brackets... It just allows me to upgrade from that small 10.5" rear rotor to a larger 11.65" rotor. The added size of the rotor will look great in the rear wheel... I heard that i wont really see much improvement over the braking, but it appears that the upgraded set up in the rear has a little bit more sweeping space which in turn creates better stopping power. I got these bc not only were they extremely cheap like i said, but they wont look out of place when i upgrade to the 13" fronts in the next couple of months when tax return comes.. oh, and they are mach 1 rear calipers bc of the extra bar that goes across the outside of the caliper... compare and contrast with a stock GT/v6 and you will see what i mean. On the 10.5" rotors, the calipers do not have the bar going across the caliper that sits on the outside of the brake pad... its hard to explain. there is a picture of it somewhere online showing the difference.

As for the chin spoiler, idk why it looks wavy. it really doesnt look like that in real life, or at least its not really THAT noticeable. when the car was sitting lower with the other wheels or if it is parked differently, the chin spoiler looks flatter. the chin isnt meant for that bumper anyway.. i just like the contrast.

Glad to hear the gear responses. i am hoping that she will RIPPPPP now haha. she does rip, but a little more is always good

and the stock brakes suck so i am going cobra/mach1/bullitt. i will have mach1 in the rear and bullitts up front. but they are all the same thing. i believe the 10th anni cobra has different piston pressure or placement compared to the other brakes, but its not noticeable to feel a difference. thats just from hearsay so i have no proof of that

EDIT: Fizzics Boy -- i did hear that you dont need FM with synthetic oils, but for $3.50, i got it bc i wasnt sure. I dont want to hear ANYTHING in that driveline so i got it for added insurance i guess. thanks for confirming what i thought tho. i should have asked about the FM before i bought it.
Call the shop and tell them not to put it in. Too much can make the clutches not lock up when you do a burnout or one tire starts to slip in the rain. You can always add it later. It take 5 minutes to do and all you need is a set of jackstands and a 3/8 inch socket and extension.

Just curious why 75-140 gear oil? I thought the factory spec was 75X90.

It was at one time, but Ford switched it for some reason. I run Redline 80w140 and have zero problems. The motorsport manager at Down's Ford near my house says they use it in all the rear ends they do and it holds up a little better and is better for the gears too.

It's not too late, i can always call the shop. I got the stuff from rick at downsford... he should have told me that i didnt need the friction modifier... idk why he didn't. Thanks for telling me. I'm sure he probably already knows and is wondering why i gave him the FM as well

+1 to ford switching in 2001 to 75W140

hp, im gonna say this and im sure you already know this...but slam your car and it will look uber ******* man!!! I saw a DSG GT today with black 18" bullitts with a cowl and 01 cobra bumper no chin and slammed and that thing looked TIGHT!!! So clean and menacing. So get them front coilovers we was talking about and slam 'er!!! and then do something to even out the rear.

PICS?! haha

Yeah i'll figure something out for the front. But for now, i am going to take out the isolators and see how i like it. Coil overs are pretty damn expensive.

I dont have a gear review for you guys, but i can say that everything is installed!!!

I ended up having to get new rear brake pads... So my mechanic ordered me stock OEM pads which i am completely fine with. Idk why i couldnt find OEM pads online... All i see is aftermarket pads for $75+... So i paid $75 for the rear conversion and then i had to pay for the rear brake pads however much those were. So maybe $125 for the complete rear brake conversion or are oem pads more than that for the rear?

He also replaced my axle seals while he was in there...

Overall, for the mach 1 rear brake install and the gear install, it was $270.. That also includes the cost of the axle seals and the new brake pads.

I think the deal worked out for both parties. I cant wait to pick up my car! Of course it is supposed to rain so i wont be able to feel these 3.73's, but ill post a review when i can
