Default saleen speedline lemans wheels

In my area a guy is selling a set of saleen speedline lemans wheels for 650. He said they have some pitting and bubbling around the center cap area. Honestly, I never even heard of these wheels but it seems as though everyone says they are very rare? Anyone know how many sets were produced/ cars produced with the wheels? I think I'm going to be buying them, with the intention of refinishing them in the future. Think they will look good on a new edge vert?

You mean those wheels? Sounds exactly like what you described. lol And i dont know how they would look on there. I dont know if i like them to tell you the truth. The spokes are kinda narrow for my tastes...but i bet they are somewhat lighter than most 18" wheels out there.

I dont think i'd like them honestly. You should talk to the guy and see if he'll let you try them on for some pics and post them and then let you know. Tires are decent tires though.

I took a look at them, you were right they aren't that nice. The condition of them was horrid, he mentioned some pitting and bubbling by the center caps.....but he didn't say anything about epoxying the center caps on (and it was smeared all over). I don't care how rare they are, not paying 650 plus 200-300 per wheel to rechrome. Glad I looked at them first before selling my wheels. My daily driver would have been wheeless lol.

you can have them dipped to remove chrome, then powdercoated with a chrome-appearing powdercoat... they will look like brand new chrome, but wont be eaten up by salt...should run you about 125-150 per wheel
