Default Fuel system help: trouble after Focus pump

ok so yesterday we put a focus pump in the car. I couldn't find the gates 27093 hose but picked up some that I was told was submersible and rated to 300psi. I got it in there with some struggle. the new hose (5/16) used to delete the pprv fit perfectly over the tube on the fuel hat and I used a fuel injection rated clamp from Napa to hold it on there. The other part that goes over the 2 barbs on the fuel basket was a bitch. It would barely go over the second barb even with some lubrication. once I got it on best I could the clam kept wanting to slide. I finally got it best I could and ran it tight as I could get it. So I got everything together and it drove eprfect for two days even under WOT. Put a tank of gas in today once I figured I wouldn't be dropping the tank again (was running no more than a 1/4 before).

Once I got back to base I noticed it running a little sluggish when I got back on base to get some food. Thinking it was a fluke I turned it off. Came back out and it started but felt odd. Turned it off and wouldn't start back up. I can hear the pump when I turn the key on. Verified with tuning software the fuel pressure is reading 0 with key on engine off. I am pretty sure that hose either managed to kink up or came off. Any other ideas? What is the best way to fix the issue with the barbs on the basket? Cut that part of or what? How can I drain this tank of gas back out to drop the tank again?

just go buy a "self syphoning" system from a pet store and shove it down your feed nozzle....or you can shove a regular ol piece of tube down there and suck.. I hope your not a swallower tho lol.

I think it is designed like most are now with the non-siphon allowing filler neck. I wouldnt try it.

LOL have you ever seen the inside of a gas filler tube... there is nothing in there other than a rubber flex joint. if you manage to get it stuck on something.. your a dumb ***.
