98redstang, post pics of the new slicks man!!! And i heard of guys going faster with the new NT05R's on 17x10.5's than they did on the hoosier slicks...might be something to look into in the future.

does it? im getting 390 motives aswell and plan on running nitrous 1 day, glad that works out but im going to be using a bigger shot

forging the internals so i can use the biggest no2 shot i can, and not dick around with these minimal boltons and ill still have good gas mileage, major power is there when i need it. right now im just building up the suspension

so 390 is alright then with a big nitrous shot?

Well, that really depends on several things. Depending on how much you build the motor, and how big of a shot you decide to run. For my setup it works great at my power level. I can pull around 116-118 mph @ 6,000 rpm in 4th, so that's pretty ideal right now. The gears work great overall for n/a too IMO.
