Regardless of whether or not they look kinda dumb (which I think they do), they're still better than rock chips. My car has a tan line on the hood from the previous owner's bra (it's really not that bad, I'm the only one who's ever noticed it), so be careful leaving it on for extended periods of time under direct sunlight. Also be sure to take it off when you wash the car and not to put it on when the car is wet; holding water/condensation beneath the bra for long periods can damage your paint. Another thing you could look into is a 3M Clear Bra; that's what I will have done when I get my car repainted in a few years.

That spay on stuff is the way to go. No JOKE! Kinda expensive but worth every penny. I totally for got about that. The only reason I know it works good is because my grandpa did that with his new 2010 Lincoln and I know a guy who had an 09 GT do this as well. They spay it over the entire car. Its just like you said, you take your car in, they spay this clear stuff on and then you go back into the dealership or where ever you got it every 6 months and re-coat it. In addition, it also help with with removing bird crap/ bugs easier as well as it gives your paint a very nice glossy finish.

Just do the blue painters tape over the front of the car...its cheaper and all the serious racers do it!!! lol when it gets tattered you just peel it off and reapply.

3M clear bra's are OK for short term use but at about t he 3 year mark they almost all start to turn yellow. Make sure they have a lifetime warranty and DON'T install it yourself.
