Exclamation 97-04 cobra dual exaust issue!!!!

can i use the irs type cobra exhaust on my 97 gt???? i know the system runs under the rear end instead of over the solid axel like the standard v6/gt mustangs... my car has a 2002 gt motor and header x pipe combo... my dual exhaust is a borla rx1 for my 97... \

is there a clearance issue? or hook up issue with the existing x pipe??? please help... my exhaust over the axel started to rub on my sway bar to the point where it snapped so i want a different tube route...

Get an IRS. guys with cobras want to swap for SRA's all the time. But yea, what youre referring to is the rear end...not the gear box. That would be the transmission.

if your exhaust is rubbing on anything you should find a new exhaust shop

Yea, your tailpipe shouldnt be rubbing on anything. If it is, your exhaust wasnt installed correctly and you should definitely take it to another shop. But IRS catback is out of the question.
