Save For Cobra or Tune the Mustang?

IMO, if you're this concerned about maintanance costs, gas prices, tire prices, gas guzzler fees and insurance, you shouldnt buy a cobra..just stick with the GT...itll save you money in the end, especially with your power goals in mind, even if you wanna go higher the GT is capable, just not as easily as a cobra...when i was looking into cobras, these concerns of yours were never even a thought for me, i was more concerned about finding a stock DSG that didnt seem to exist lol, and being able to afford buying the car, not the expenses that came along with it..just my opinion, stick with your GT, seems like itll be enough for you...plus its kinda fun transforming your GT into your own car, cant transform a cobra, its always a cobra (if you do transform it into something people will just want to kill you lol).

My Mach 1 gets wayy better gas milage than my GT did, although that could be because my GT had 4.10's but i doubt it.i got 250 on the last tank and the best i could do in my GT was like 215-240 ( all hwy tho). I have matured alot sense my GT and dont run the Mach 1 anywhere near as hard as i did the GT.
as to your car delima, its really about what you want. Like for me, Cammed and vortech'd GT's are cool as hell. all motor ones running good 1/4 miles times are too. But then again a ported/pullied Cobra would be fun as hell. Personally i'd build a 2v, since no one really respects 2v's id show people what they could really do since theyre a good car/ motor IMO
