Question cam gears question please help

ok so i have my car in the shop gettin comp cams stage 2 installed the guy calls me yesterday and tells me the comp cam adjustable cam gears i got dont work, well he says the the cams already com degreed and that there is no adjusting needed, is this true? i thought they sell that for a reason which is to adjust it for more hp gains. does this guy know what hes doing? should i take it to another shop?

That is total BS. The cams DO NOT come degreed. They can vary several degrees in fact, and often do.

Beyond that, there's no such thing a "cam gears" on our cars--they are sprockets...

I can remember the last set of Comp cams I tested that were actually within 2 degrees of where they were supposed to be, it was about 8 sets ago. All the rest had at least one cam off by 4 or more degrees.
