This intake came with my car when I bought it last May. The chrome finish was flaking off and looked like crap, but outside of that it was structurally fine. I took the entire thing off, cleaned and re-oiled the filter, cleaned the couplings, got new clamps, and had the intake powdercoated. The car is in good shape, but the engine bay was neglected and not cleaned very often (you can see some surface rusting and paint flaking), am slowly restoring things.

I was going for a clean OEM look, and figure the blue couplers will match the valve covers when I have them powdercoated Ford Blue at some point down the road. Here's two pics I snapped the other night, car is currently up on jacks so I can fix an exhaust leak.

Yeah, I plan on sanding it down and brushing some black on there.
