Default s197 better than new edge :(

Is the design of the s197 superior to the new edge in every way or just in the front since they have real MacPherson struts? Can a WL and TA new edge out handle and s197 WL and TA?

"Real MacPherson struts" are not an improvement, except that they reduce productions costs--at the expense of unsprung weight. In real terms it's probably a wash, but it's hardly an improvment...

However in overall terms of course they are an improvement, that's how the automotive industry works--the magnitude of the improvement is another whole discussion...

I see, so was the design of the s197 suspension better than the new edge?

Less expensive to produce yes; superior no, arguably not as good...

Overall they are significantly improved in many ways, but in other ways i think they're worse.

Overall, i comes down to a matter of preference, and what's more suitable to your liking.

The main improvements were made in the chassis, alot more rigidity. The S197's can handle alot better with less work done.

I wouldn't say the S197 is better then the new edge. I sold my S197 to get my terminator! best thing I ever did!

Mostly because the "Koni Challenge" is much more about marketing than any real attempt to discover or prove anything...
