60ft times on Drag Radials

Yeah, when I had clogged cats and I was making substantially less power I could drop the clutch at like 5k without spinning off the line. I was hooking really hard and powershifting 2nd with these but still only cutting low 1.8xx 60fts, but back then I was only making 220 to the wheels.

My best times came from a very quick slip of the clutch around 4500 rpms...
When I dumped too high and it caught, my car would bog really bad...and I've never been a great 1-2 shifter....

im running MT ET Streets @ the track too and i was getting really crappy 60ft times i think due to a shot traction lock and my H&R Springs. i didnt see any mods to your rear end besides your gears so maybe the stock traction lock is going out?

I have all the parts for a 31-spline swap just waiting til I have the $375 for install. That's one job that I'll leave to the Pros LOL. But as far as a worn trac-lok, My car has less than 40K on it and both my tires fry everytime. But who knows.

I was really debating doing it myself for a long time. I'll need to buy some new tools like a dial indicator and such, I'll also have to take the axles in to a machine shop and have the ABS rings pressed on and off. I would only be saving like $150-200 by doing it myself and it would probably take a weekend and lots of frustration. I think in this case, I would rather just save myself the PITA and drop it off in the morning and have it ready in the afternoon. Coming from a guy that has done everything else on his car including a complete motor swap, I know the feeling of doing my own work and the satisfaction that follows. I have no interest in embarking on this one though.

If you were contemplating doing the install yourself, here is a great writeup that has step by step instructions and which tools to use. Dial caliper and dial indictor with a magnetic base and they can be had to cheap.
