Default 60ft times on Drag Radials

Hey guys, I'm just wondering what everyone is cutting on Drag Radials. I've cut a best of 1.799 on these MT ET street radials and wondering what everyone else is seeing.
N/A times would be most useful. I've tried launching these things at every rpm imaginable. I've tried dropping the clutch, slipping it a bit and everything in between. Just can't seem to get them to hook like I think they should. I also spin the crap out of 2nd if I powershift which is pretty annoying at my power level on these tires.

What are your mods and what size ET streets?

I got a buddy with an 03 GT with intake, full exhaust, 3.73's, canned tune, bilstein and H&R SS's with 17x9 OEM termi rims all around with 275 ET Street Radials and he usually does mid to low 1.7's running 8.2-8.3's

I'm wondering if my lowering springs are hurting my launch a little bit. I just ordered UPR coil-overs that will be in next week. Hopefully those help me stick a bit better. I know there's a lot of practice involved cause I've heard of ppl cutting in the 1.6s on nittos, but I wonder if that has to do with having a good suspension or if they were just pushing more power.

It's all about your suspension setup. Lowering springs don't help you with launching. Stick the stock springs back in there or buy drag springs (which don't lower your car so stock springs would be much cheaper).

If your track prep isn't very good that could be why you aren't cutting a lower 60'. But with those MTs, you should be cutting better 60' times.

That's what I was thinking. Like I said, I have UPR coil-overs coming in the mail and they have spring rates of 14-175 in front and 10-150 out back which are basically drag rates, but won't kill daily driving. I'll see if they help me get them down. The way the car is right now, It doesn't feel like it's transferring weight very well.

That's a very good read....Makes me want to get a set of adjustable UCAs in the near future. Also validates my theory of my eibach springs hurting my launch.

I know it's not too useful when comparing to your power levels, but my nearly stock GT went 1.857 on MT ET Street Radials...

I'm just running an o/r H, catback, and 4.10's...
