Default insurance discount for turning 21?

i know you get an insurance discount when you turn 21, but my insurance is currently $265 per month! holy sh*t!!! ive been just handing my parents 200 a month thinking thats it not knowing they are paying that $65 per month for me, DAM... my father told me when i turn 21 in june the whole bill is on me, please tell me the discount is significant =[ im a college student that works part time and would not look forward to swingin that kinda money

My bother doesnt have a stang but when he turned 21 it when down a pretty decent amount BUT i have heard from other people that when they turned 21 there insurance went WAY up because they are now legal drinking age so there is more risk of d&d...
So i dunno what to tell u man

I'm 20 and in college, my insurance is only $48 a month with all of my discounts...

48 a month? Do u have plpd or full coverage?
I have full coverage and pay like 1700 a year

OP has full coverage, and I can see why, I do as well. OP, it's a 20-30% discount when you turn 21 (at least for Allstate I know for a fact it is).

i have full coverage and this is a quote through progressive completely on my own though, not tacked on to my parents insurance plan..i do have some points working against me but when inputting my quote im not putting the points in since im losing them all next month...argh, u must be on ur parents plan at 48$ per month!

Where in the world do you find insurance that cheap? The cheapest I've been able to get insurance is $120 for bare minimum liability.

im currently insured through the state, the 265$ per month was a quote from progressive with some pretty good coverage...my family all has allstate but they have a new policy where you cannot go to allstate from state insurance, you must have a reputable insurance company for at least a year...i wish i could get back on allstate, they dropped me 3 years ago =[ still cant get back
