Is this crank toast(with jelly)?
Well, my bro and I have my own opinions on this but, what do you think. I have a crank out of a 97 Teskid block(block is at MMR now). The engine was pulled for a "rapping" and I got it cheap. When it got it, I saw why. A bearing or two was in the oil pan. As you can see from the pics, the rod journals look good. The crank journals have me concerned. Also, the last timing sprocket will not come off. I fought with it for a bit. That is why that is on there now. Is this crank restorable by a machine shop or should I be planning on getting another crank to balance with my forged innards?
