Pretty basic question, new to Mustangs
I just bought a 1999 sight unseen (OK, moment of weakness) and will need a hood. The hood on it has a scoop.

Question is this - I'm assuming its a basic coupe, nothing special but the hood has me wondering if all 1999 mustangs have the scoop or were some straight hoods - Just want to make sure I get the right style hood if I get one online and by the way, if by some strange chance, anyone has a hood... let me know

all 1999-2004 mustang gts have the hood scoop. 1999-2003 have the hood minus the scoop, the 2004 mustang v6s have a scoop that goes down in the front

I managed to create an album with a pic in it - teh album name is called 1999 but I have no idea how to tell you to get there
Would love to see if you think this is a basic coupe or if the hood indicates something other as the post says - It be outstanding if it was a GT, but I;m not holding my breath

Im confused... are wanting to but a new hood? or are u just wondering what hoods on your car?
But the stock 99 gt hood just has a little indent thing no scoop.
But if u are buying a new hood u should look at the cowl hoods!

Wrong. 99-00 have the V6 no scoop hoods..
