What are you scared about with nitrous?
Look. I know you say no nitrous because you might blow your engine up and let me interject something.
I ran nitrous for over 1 year. Loved it. I like many others was terrified of it. When I received the kit ($400 total, NIB), I put it on my car. Knowing that for 100 shot it is perfectly safe to run it as is, I was still afraid and took it to the dyno. $550 later, I had my car tuned. Want to know what my "Nitrous" tune consisted as? Absolutely nothing. It was stock timing. He didn't change a thing. Of course I fought this with him, yet he still charged me for a nitrous tune.
After spending the money for getting a N/A tune and a so called "Nitrous" tune, it was time to hit the streets. It took me over 3 months before I was able to hit the spray. Like someones sig says, "nitrous is like a fine girl with STD's, everyone want to hit it, but everyone is afraid to" (something like that). The day I flipped my switch and sprayed against an M3 was priceless. Nothing could compare to the adrenaline rush I had. My car was HAULIN ***. The first part is getting past the mental stage of spraying for the first time. I knew that nothing was going to happen just spraying 100 shot, but in the back of my mind I was still afraid. That was until I finally grew a pair and sprayed. There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of.
That was the day I became addicted to it. Nitrous is really cheap power. For those that say well it runs out... So does your gas tank... but you go and fill it up. Then there comes the argument well it is expensive and all the refills will eventually pass the price of going F/I. Lets say you spray once a week. I used to get about 10 good runs on one bottle before I had to refill it. So.. do the math. I would have to refill 5.2 times a year to satisfy my racing needs. Honestly I didn't fill up that much. Others have gone through way more. 5.2 X $40 = $208 in nitrous refills alone per year. Compare that to a F/I car. For the most part the average seems to be $2500- $4500 to get it done. Lets say $3500 to get the complete kit done. $3500 - $400 (for the nitrous system) - $208 Per one years use = $2892.... At this rate it will take me over 13 years to break even...
My vote goes to nitrous man. You DONT need a tune for it (100 shot or less), power is insane, and nothing beats the price. Best bang for the buck.

You'll need a 31 spline differential of choice and moser/frpp/strange 31 spline axles. I'd go with stranges since thats whats in my buddy's 8xxrwhp GT500 and he launches the F*** out of it and they have yet to snap. Also, see if they can take the whole axle out of the car and have the axle tubes welded to keep the tubes from twisting on hard launches. It usually doesnt happen on lower powered cars from my understanding but its worth a shot to do it anyways.
Differential: hhttp://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=543cPath=3_37
Axles: http://www.americanmuscle.com/ford-3...arbondisc.html
And your usual install kit and stuff would be suggested but you probably have that already with the gears and stuff. So i think your good. Thats all you need to change over to 31 spline setup.

I would do exactly what these guys are saying. Im actually doing it right now. Im buying the 31 spline lsd and axles and oncei put those in im getting nitrous(which is apparently supposed to be great with my higher compression for some reason?). So in order i would go with the 31 splines first as your grad present and than the spray.

I dont like the wheels that much, but apparently OP likes his wheels if i remember correctly. I think it will be better found in the light bar or rear end and then OP can get some summit 15x8 or 15x10's with slicks to launch at the track and then run street tires DD.

+2.....OP, you were just saying a week or so ago that you wish you had one of your car. I think this is the first thing I got.
I would pass on the tonneu cover, looks sweat but its a hassle. Trust me I have one and its sitting in the box still, unpainted. I had it on a season and it was kind of a pain to put it on and take it off. If it rains you are kind of stuck. Still debating keeping it or not. It really does give the car a different look though, I love it when its on. Not sure it outweighs the hassle though.
