Back from the dead, sorry haven't posted in some time as you can tell mainly because I didn't have the internet and my comp had a virus. Well a little update from the last posts back in July I added UPR adj. sph. bushing u/l control arms, pulled my front sway bar off and on same street tires I was able to click a 13.5@101 with a still crappy 2.1 60ft. My goals still stands for a 12.99 pass on full bolt-ons minus cams with big & littles with M/T drag radials and 11.99 with 100-125 shot with full bolt-ons minus cams. I'm scheduled this Tuesday for my install of Strange 10 way adj.shocks/ struts, UPR full coilovers, and UPR k member @ STP (South Texas Performance) in San Antonio, Tx.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like you are coming along, but you need to get those drag radials. Once you run on DR's, you'll hate yourself for waiting so long to get them.

Yep, you're definitely on your way, but you'll need those big and littles for sure.

i cut 1.7X 60 ft all day long. i have no suspension work as of now . my current setup is a 3200 stall and mt drag radials . i bring it up to about 1900 with 17-18 psi. and stay pretty consistent. it could just be you need to change your style at the line till you find what works best for you and car

I pretty much have a race prepped rear suspension and on 17" wheels with M/T's I was also cutting 1.7x's. I just put rear coilovers in and have the front K member setup waiting to go in. I'll be gettin big N littles soon as well, I'm looking to be in the 1.5-1.6 range when it's dialed. I think you basically have my rear setup without the ARB, so you should be killing it this season.

wow that 60' is horrible! i cut a 2.1 with my sumitomos, and these tires are absolute junk! +10000000000000 to sticky tires! once you get those on for the track you'll have a blast

Not trying to threadjack but Im wondering what the ideal tire size is for the track because Im debating still (back and forth ALOT) about what direction I want to do for brakes. Either cobra brake kit (limited me to @ least 17in wheels) or keeping GT & adding slotted rotors (then I could run a smaller tire). Im not currently planning too my strip & my mustang is mainly a DD just looking into all avenues b4 I choose.

Ideal is a 15" wheel and whatever tire size suites your needs.

tire size will depend on power and gear

Update: I got three passes on the new k member and full UPR coilover set-up with 15" m/t drags in rear no littles. I dead hooked leaving off idle smashing the gas on all three passes giving me consistant 13.2's and 1.8 60's with a best of 104mph. These tires are awesome and don't really know why I waited so long to buy them. My question is even though I knocked off 3 tenths in my quarter should I be cutting 1.7's or lower et's with my mods or they about right? I had my suspension set at second to loose in front and second to stiff in rear per UPR instructions and tires at 18 psi. I feel the tires did their job but was thinking with the weight reduction and "race suspension" I would shed a little better time.
13.0's-13.1's. Let me know what yall think.
