lightning motor to a 4.6 car

Default lightning motor to a 4.6 car

what all will i need to put a lightning motor in my 00 GT any or all help will be great thanks guys ????

im pretty sure the only major thing to worry about is hood clearence,and all the lit things like exhaused,and wich ranny u r going to use auto or 5sp,6sp.keep asking ive seen numerous ones on you tube,find one on youtube and ask the builder,i know the will fit,iv even seen lightning motors in fox bodies

as you can see from this pic, those motors are TALL. i don't really know any of the specifics of the swap though. sorry.

If you use an aftermarket blower like a Kenne Bell or Whipple it has the air inlet on the back instead of the top... which drastically reduces the over height of the setup.

I've seen these motors in Crown Vic's, Mark 8's, and a Marauder.

But yes, hood clearance, tranny, exhaust etc. Maybe search on here for "lightning motor swap" or something. see what comes up.
