That was right about on par with what i though an o/r h pipe and 44's would sound like. Just not an h pipe person though. Sounded good but i wouldnt wanna hear the h pipe sound on a daily basis. I prefer the x pipe anyday.

the biggest reason i lose has more to do with only being able to spin my tires at 60-70 mph. The people who got ahead of me had autos, and they arent restricted to one gear so even a weak auto can spin around 90mph. If i had been alowed to shift i would be in the top three easy. I dont know if id ever win, just beacuse there is always at least one basically full blown race car that does the contest. Its hard for me to compete with that. This year if i get my car back together is probebly gonna suck, because i have to buy new burnout tires, and i have no clue what smokes good.

As for buying tires.... go to a local tire shop and pick up some slicks.

I recently asked a Exhaust shop his opinion. I figured the sound come from the muffs, i mean it's all Mandrel bent tubes, Why spend more on name. He agreed. I say go cheap in your mid-pipe(Pacesetter) the Money on what ever muffs you want. The different metal like someone stated earlier makes the diffferece............Do you wans to wake the DEAD? I have 40 Series Flows-DUMPED..Set off every alarm i drove by. VEry raspy-throaty on the PACE. I have MAGNAFLOW now, but im trying to decide if i want to Sell the MAGNA and put back on the FLows DUmped(in the garage). Im gunna sell one.....or trade, ANY TAKERS???

I threw my Flows(dumped) welded hangers and 3rd pipe, on craigslist for $100, kept gettin lowballed, i just kept em'

If youre spending money on muffs, you are committing a crime my friend. Spending money on mufflers is a different story though.
