Default NEXEN 3000 tires....

Any of you guys have any experiences with the NEXEN 3000 tires? Just purchased two for the rear of my summer wheels and was wondering what you all know about them (275 35 18s). Also, if not, what tires are you guys running for your summer setups?

Rob

Nexen are worse than Sumitomos in my opinion. My buddy had them on the back of his bolt-on 4.10 GT and they spun worse than his car does with sumitomos. But they are cheap...which is good for you as i recall you saying you go through tires like nobody's business. lol so for you they will work, but dont expect to get any traction with them anywhere.

LOL Teej I knew you would answer within seconds bro. See I really don't care if I spin like hell, I bought them basically to get me to work and burn the living hell out of them before I buy a beater car this summer. for 273 out the door with installation for 2 fat tires....get what ya pay for. For now, they work.

Yeah I was going to say, because it was lightly raining out this morning on my way to work and I literally spun the tires downshifting from 5th to 4th and it scared the **** outta me at 6:15AM hahah

Haha yea...my NT05's handle the rain very well surprisingly. They grip even in the wet. No hydroplaning on the highways. They are working out very well thus far.

One of my best friends has Nittos on his Tiburon GT.....yes I know its a Tiburon but its a 6 speed that gets 30mpg and actually is pretty freakn quick with the headers/full exhaust/slew of other BS he did to it. Anyway the Nittos he has SUCKKKKKKED for him. Were there any Nittos that weren't very good? I can't remember which model Nittos they were of teh top of my head.

NT555's are pretty decent for street tires, then you have the NEOGEN's and the INVO's. The invo's should do pretty decent overall, but the neogens are an all-season ultra high performance tire. So chances are they were probably the neogens. Nitto tires otherwise are an awesome tire. I love mine.

Nexens are what we sell to people who blew all their money on wheels and cant afford to put even decent tires on em.
