Having a hard time popping the hood!

Default Having a hard time popping the hood!
Well the issue seems like the opener is loose or broken. It feels very loose. It take alot of effort to pop the hood. Any help would be appreciated.

Did u try tightining it up?... Can u tell if anything is broken?

I have the same problem on my v6. Tried dw40 and did nothing. It also feels really loose. I think it's the spring? I'll try it on mine tomorrow and let u know if t works. I've been meaning to fix this for quite some time but forgot it even happened until I read this lol

Looks like I found the issue the part that holds the hood release cable is broken. Thats why it take alot of effort to open it. question is where can i buy an new one?
