no complaints from my Comp Cams 270AH's, sound bad *** and you put VTs in my car you'll probably make the same numbers (give or take a few HP difference tops)

OP I have CMS 2.5 blower cams an love them but my lsa is 114 i believe. Jim is correct with similar cam characteristics his cams with lower lsa of 108 will outperform on with bigger lsa but as impacts the following is if a street car you want a larger power band range.

EFFECTS OF CHANGING LOBE SEPERATION ANGLE (LSA)

Tighten (smaller LSA number)---- Widen (larger LSA number)

Moves Torque to Lower RPM ---- Raise Torque to Higher RPM
Increases Maximum Torque ---- Reduces Maximum Torque
Narrow Power band --- -------- Broadens Power Band
Builds Higher Cylinder Pressure ---- Reduce Maximum Cylinder Pressure
Increase Chance of Engine Knock ----Decrease Chance of Engine Knock
Increase Cranking Compression ---- Decrease Cranking Compression
Increase Effective Compression ----Decrease Effective Compression
Idle Vacuum is Reduced ----------- Idle Vacuum is Increased
Idle Quality Suffers ----- -------- Idle Quality Improves
Open Valve-Overlap Increases ------ Open Valve-Overlap Decreases
Closed Valve-Overlap Increases ---- Closed Valve-Overlap Decreases
Natural EGR Effect Increases ------- Natural EGR Effect is Reduced
Decreases Piston-to-Valve Clearance ---- Increases Piston-to-Valve Clearance

mrtstang...which cams did you go with? VT Stage 2 or Comp Stage 2? I mean those were the two that you narrowed down.

name one person that HAD to notch their pistons with cms stage 2's. if you have no experience with these cams please don't speak like you do.

OP go with the cms cams. i think they will be great for what you are doing. i loved mine
