Default using heads off a 2000gt on my 96gt

is there anything i need to do to use the heads off a 2000gt on my 96 gt

grab the cams and intake manifold for a 99-04 also. and of course necessary gaskets. cams and manifold u can probably scoop up for 100$ or so.

i bought a motor out of a 2000 so i have all the parts but was wondering if the heads with the cams will bolt right on just time the car and it will be fine

for the most part. just do your research tho, those should be windsor heads

as far as I know if you swap the PI heads to your engine it will give you more compression.. I do not remember why is that though.

Use the bigger bolts that came off the 00' timing cover that bolt the cover to the heads, but use the 96 cover, it has the 3 bolt tensioner setup. The threads are bigger on the windsor heads, but thats about it. Also use the valve covers off the 00' motor since they've got more bolts and won't bolt to the romeo heads.

im pretty sure its because our pistons are not dished as much as the pi cars
