You just made me feel a whole lot better, man. How often do you do that? How many miles on your engine with it still running strong?

Ever since I threw a rod bearing a week after I bought me car (WITHOUT even beating on it), i've been scared to throw something off

Yeah I know guys, I am not trying to be annoying, but I know I am posting a little too much. The semester is ending for me, and I have a lot of car questions now.

My motor has around 48k on it and i hit rev limiter a couple times a week. I recently moved the rev limiter down to 6200 though just because i thought that 6500 was a little high. One time i mis-shifted and hit 2nd instead of 4th going from the top of third and that ended up not causing any damage that i can tell. I mean my tranny hates life daily but thats just because it sucks and never had any of the TSB's done on it.

TSBs.... does Ford do those for free?

If you are under warrantee, Ford does the TSB's for free. Its kinda like a recall, but not as severe as a recall. Its not something that is a safety hazard, but something that could make you not happy with the car, so if you notice it they will fix it under warrantee. At least thats how i was told. Its too late for all of us to still get them done for free unless someone paid a ridiculous amount and got a really long warrantee for their cars from new. lol

I'm going to come off as an ***, but...

Especially when my transmission is far from perfect! I can powershift my dad's Honda Accord effortlessly because his transmission shifts smoothly, lol. T45's are horrid.

If you think T45's are horrid...try a T56.

It's a reoccurring issue for the OP, enough so that it merited a new thread.

Just a word to the wise so he doesn't cause anymore damage.

If your car isn't running 100%, why push it to it's limits and potentially hurt it even more...?

Power shifting is horrible on any transmission. Don't break daddy's ride. tisk tisk.
