Nice job!

When I did mine I used a right-angle die grinder and woven pads to remove all the casting texture and start w/ a mirror finish prior to painting.

The metal polishes up really nicely and isn't too difficult to do.

So how long did it take you to do this? I am curious as I have thought about painting mine. I just want to know time and how much of a pain it is.

Someone should totally rock the polished calipers and then clear over top of them...that would look sick, only on certain cars though.

Took me i guess maybe an hour and a half to spray a bunch of coats and do the lettering. That's with time in between to dry.. Not too long. Sanding took me forever though and i did NOT want to do it again...

Figure about 2 hours to do it all. Spray paint FTMFW

They did look nice prior to paint. I like how bare polished metal looks, but for most applications I need to coat the metal.

On several bronze parts for my boat I just covered the polished bronze w/ a heavy marine grease to keep it from turning green.

Most of my boat parts get metal primer, then epoxy, then top coat. Most of my car parts just get Rustoleum Professional.
