taking out a loan for mods is not a good idea IMO. do you have another car you would be able to drive? paying interest on a motor sounds aweful.

are your heads ****ed? I would just Get a MMR block (to match your HP goals), and reuse your heads if possible and save yourself some money. That or buy a old GT block form a junk yard and rebuild it. I wouldn't spend 6-8grand on a motor just because I have the money for it... just get a block (or whatever parts you need minimally) and call it a day. Remember loans are evil. The bank would LOVEEEE you to spend all that money ;-)

yeah man well what kind of power do you want to make? Just buy a pre-assembled MMR block, 2-6k depending on the model, and then use the rest to part together a vortech kit. Whos doing the install?

im doing the install. One more question. Can i get dished pistons put in the block instead so my compression is lower with the pi heads? And with the dished pistons can i run a bigger cam?

I'd look for a low mileage 03/04 Cobra motor. Already forged, and plenty of room to grow with.
