If I had 10k to spend, I would trade my GT, vortech and all and pick up A BONE STOCK low millage 03/04 cobra with the combined value.

why are you so hooked on the 4v?

I'll take the sound of a well built 2v over a 4v any day.

as for me.

OP, assuming a stock car -

Custom fabricated Turbo kit by yours truly, couple hundred bucks
Turbonetics Turbo - probably a couple thousand
good intercooler - ~300 bucks
Sniper Software - $500
shorty headers - $400
mrt Catted H - no idea
built shortblock - 1500 (parts)
custom ground turbo cams - 1000+

now, if I just wanted a fun car

Stock T-56 out of a wrecked cobra - cheap (700-100$)
Built Engine - ~4500 after headwork
vortech T-trim kit - ~$3000
IRS out of an 01, Eaton diff from an 03 - $750 (it's been a while, that number may be a little off)
coilovers- $800
Nitto 555R's for the rear

invest it. If I had to spend the money on the car then I'll be paying off the car then with the remainder I'll be going with the hp performance tt 57mm turbo kit.

Assuming my car and my two credit cards were paid off and I had 10 grand aside from my fund saving for a house I would -

Built 2v, T56 swap, 100 wet shot, Trickflow heads, either a used T trim or used 2.1 Kenne Bell...oh and some nice blower cams if I had anything left.

having 10K and having an EXTRA 10K is different.....soo i'll go with EXTRA 10K around

sell my GT, put the money toward finding a low mileage Azule Blue 04 Mach 1...best of both worlds for me. cheaper than a Cobra, 4V fun, and can keep it a DD. I dont see a Cobra being winter friendly lol

BUT since i just spent 4K on an engaement ring...I owe another 7K on my car, I'm looking to move to KY when I land a job (in Boston now), and the fact my GT only has 44K mi on it she will run fine for a while lol.

OR fully built N/A motor in my GT, built suspension (but still comfortable) and make it one fun N/A car. Most of you guys go right to SC, but I like the N/A route..still being a DD
