Mysterious Passenger Rattle
Hello, I have a 2000 Mustang GT 5 speed, and now for a long time i've had this mysterious rattle on the passenger side when i go over bumps. Sometimes when the bumps are real bad its like a crashing sound. I assumed at first that it could be my shocks & springs since they were aftermarket, I took them off and found that both front springs had the top piece cracked or broken...So i was like guess this is the problem and put back the stock ones. Still the problem remains..anyone have any ideas? its been pissing me off lately.. Thanks

Probably you bumped the midpipe and its hitting against the chassis underside...
Happened to my V6, just moved it out of the way, and the problem went away...
Is the sound directly on where the passenger puts his feet?

i have a small rattling problem as well. i heard that it could be a missing anti-rattle clip on the front pads, but i'm not sure thats it on my car. after further inspection i found that i have a bad tie-rod end. have yet to replace it and see it that fixes it.
EDIT: my car also has this creaking and popping sound when i turn though. not sure yours is the same.

iv done it before..like i said iv replaced springs and shocks..everything was tight and nothing changed. Also for the tie rod ends i don't know what a good one and a bad one look like. I know its not the ball joints, shocks, springs, brakes or control arm and def doesn't sound like an issue with the bushings.
