Cluitch catches REALLY high
For about 15,000 miles now, I've had a new (OEM) clutch put in my car with a brand new OEM cable. Stock everything as far as the clutch goes. What is the most efficient way to get my clutch to stop catching at the tippity top with like 1/2" to spare? I've heard mixed things. Firewall adjuster/quadrant? New cable?

Go out to your car. Sit in the drivers seat. Take your foot and put it behind the clutch pedal. Take your foot and pull the clutch pedal towards you somewhat forcefully. It should "pop" or make a some noise, it's ok. Once that happens push the clutch back towards the floor and repeat until you like where it engages.

No it doesn't have to be running. You can only adjust it so much that way. As long as you have some play in like you do (1/2"-1") your ok.
Cliffy has a write up about how to adjust the clutch pedal. Hopefully he will post it up.
