Default How can I prevent car rape?

I am getting my car detailed for a STEAL by this kid who is (apparently) really good, but I do not trust him because I do not know him. I know, it's a risk letting him detail my car, but I am willing to take it, because I have heard such great things about his detailing jobs.

I am worried that he might take my car for a spin. I want to know how I can keep a lookout for my car, without being there. In other words, how can I set up a trap or something to know that he floored it or revved up my car high or something?

I'm a novice detailer on the side, (2-4 cars a week in the summer,) and I only need to move the cars 10' at the most.

You can look at the odomoter before and after?

I'm about to get one of the tuning chips and the tune selector switch from AM, I'm going to leave one of the tuning slots empty, one ***** out tune, and daily tune, and a tune thats super weak and bitchy so no know can **** it up.

To prevent it, detail your own car. You will save money and it's more rewarding when the job is done.

exactly.

for the price of a GOOD detail, you can buy all the needed supplies, and have enough to do your car 25 times. or once you get good, other peoples cars. my kit has paid for itself 10x

I don't know how to though. the main reason I am getting this detail job done is because I have always had this mild haze on the roof of my car, and tree sap reside etc that really won't come off unless you have a buffer. I would seriously catch my paint on fire trying to use one of these lol

He is telling me that he can make all of that haze go away (I also have oxidization on my spoiler) that MOST definitely wont go away by conventional methods.

And yea.. I can tell him not to take my car for a spin, and yes I am going to take note of the odometer reading, but then he could still rev it up and stuff? Idk, im paranoid because I put a lot of money into this car.

lol who cares if he revs it up, you have a rev limiter for a reason.

a buffer wont get that **** off, you have to clay it first.
