Quit saying cobra, every time anyone asks about buying a car people just say "cobra!" I would say go with the saleen, but thats just because I like the body more.

Why? There are several guys in this section with cobras that sold there s197's because they were not what they thought they would be and went out and bought cobras.

MY vote is for the shelby GT, Nice and clean. Ever thought about a Roush ? The Roush Charged S197 are really nice looking and can be had around 22-30k with decent mileage.

Ok...Cobra is not a choice, soo...

Trust me, I searched for Cobras, but within 400 miles of me there are about 2 that I'd buy (as close to stock as I can find) and they are rediculously priced. Hell one of them was an 04 and the guy wants 32k for it b/c it only has 2k miles. That ****s not happenin.

I looked at a Roush, but I'm not real fond of the front end. The only fronts of S197's I like are the Saleen, GT500, and the Shelby GT is alright. I dont know what it is about the fronts, but I dont really dig the plain GT front.

So far I'm thinkin Saleen.

Have you checked corral or SVTP? I find it very hard to believe you could only find 2 cobras in 400 miles. Unless youre deadset on a S197 Id be searching very hard for a cobra or mach if I were in your shoes. But to keep things somewhat on topic I vote for the Shelby if youre looking for more of a DD and the saleen if youre looking for more of a toy.

No, I haven't checked either of those sites. For a couple reasons, but I'm limiting my searches to dealers.

As for the Mach...meh...I'm not sold on them. I've seen some I like, but honestly most of them are no problem for me racing wise. Whether I consistantly run into bad drivers or w/e, they don't impress me much.
