You have to be running into some ****ty drivers unless you have a power adder. We all know what LS1's do to 2V's and Mach's are a drivers race with the LS1 F-bodies with the f-body having a very slight advantage. But I will admit that red Saleen is very sexy.

there are a lot of cars out there that are the same year range as an s197 but are a little better IMO. Just a thought.

LOL. Seriously though. I have no gripes with my GT anymore except for 1 more thing, but I will take care of the no 6speed in due time. If the guy is going to trade in his 02 GT, he obviously doesnt like it enough to change it to how he would like it..so why not look at other cars.

I dunno, just my reasoning lol.

Most people don't think like us hoss. I'm with you though. If I had enough money to buy a 2005+ Saleen, the last thing I would get is a mustang.

I love my Mustang. I have 1 gripe, and it's the same as yours. No 6spd. Hell...I'd settle for a 5spd. The auto thing didn't bother me at first, but I absolutely cannot stand it now. I wouldn't mind doing the swap, however, it's just not practical. I'm in the military, getting ready to drive 2100 miles across the country to my new base in the next 18 days. Once I get out there, there's no telling whether I'd have time for such a swap. So why not buy something thats already equipped with the 5/6spd and has much much fewer miles?

Lol this makes me laugh. I'm sure I could find a "better" car than a Mustang...but...why? I love Mustangs.

OP: i really have no preference between your two choices. both cars do the same for me as far as looks go. are these cars pretty similar in price? if so i would get the shelby, but only because it has less miles.
