Default Tar/Asphalt Removal From Paint

Could anybody give me some advice of what i should use to get asphalt off my car. I have heard of all kinds of stuff that works but i dont want to mess up my paint. Just let me know what everyone thinks is the safest. Thanks

I work in the asphalt industry.....the things that we use to clean tarmac/asphalt will certainly ruin your paint. (Lacquer Thinner, Trichloroethylene)

I just soak it down with Bug-B-Gone made by Turtle Wax. It takes a little elbow grease, but it has always gotten the job done.

Goo gone or a good wax and muscle. "Your best defense is a good offense." Make sure in the future you keep a good high quality coat of wax on your car. G/L

WD-40 will normally take it right off just be sure to wax afterwords
