care to share with me why you didn't like it? i've been tossing around the idea of getting a kit and DDM was at the top of my list.

They aren't that great. No install instructions, problems several months after install, high beams suck all it is are the low beams re directed upwards. Yes they have lifetime warranty but this car is my dd and I can't keep sending ballasts every three months. They aren't that bright either for 55 watts. I would have gotten retrosolutions. Seem better, brighter, and they have less problems. And I don't mind the price. Plus he gives a discount I think.

Alright, so I looked at your stickie GTRACER88, and you are missing some steps at the end that quite frankly, have me confused.
So I decided to call a local installer and he quoted me $200 for the install... telling me that when people install these kits themselves, they fry their entire elctrical system because you can't use the normal wiring that went to the old lights.
I have the EXACT kit that GTRACER88 put a write up on, 8000k 55W... and I am very confused.

Look, the guy told me that if I just plug and play it like I was going to originally, I will fry my entire electrical system with 55W because they get EXTREMELY hot. This guy has done more electrical work than I have, so I trust his judgement.

Fine. Trust his judgement and give him your money. Or.... you can trust the 100s of people on here who have done it safely and save your $200. I don't really care which.
