So you made 292/306 on a dynojet then after only a tune you made 311/322 on a Mustang dyno???
Doesn't make sense unless I'm missing something. |
exactly gtracer thanks for responding :)

I don't see those kinda numbers with your mods. But hey, that's just me.

He is pretty much full bolt on right? If so I believe it. It also can be a happy mustang dyno. But 330 isn't too far fetched for full bolt ons with heads and cams..

GTRACER what is the status on your new set of wheels?

Mustang Dynos don't alway read lower. My car was originally tuned on a Mustang Dyno and made 385/370. It was running a little lean at 6000 so I had it re-tuned at a different shop that had a Dynojet. The first pull was 385/367. About the same.

Maybe things have changed since my 4.6 days. But, I just don't see those numbers even with cams. Just my .02
I believe the 311, but 330-340 rwhp isn't realistic for just basic bolt-ons, stock compression, stage 2 heads/cams on a properly calibrated dyno. |

http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/o...R/IMAG0254.jpg Just kidding. Those are the stupid wheels I bought when I sold my saleens. I went to the dealership today and there looks like to be some good news boys.. :icon_mrgreen: Im keeping it a secret for now the exact status.

Mitch, not much has changed. There hasn't been a car like the bucket around to remind people what a full out N/A 4.6 2v makes with the best parts available.

People are putting down 300 RWHP with CMS stage 2 cams and Hitech Stage 2 cams with out heads and full bolt ons, yet you don't believe that people can do 330 rwhp with stage 2 heads? Its been done plenty of times before. Especially with CMS stage 2 cams. Idk, I think differently I guess. Just doesn't seem too farfetched when it has been achieved before. |

Huh? He put 311 on a mustang dyno. Translate that to a dyno jet, assuming that the weight and all other factors are correct, will translate that to 330ish rwhp on a dyno jet.

I'm just saying for a stage 2 heads and cam N/A 2v running stock compression and basic bolt-ons, an honest 330-340rwhp seems a little high. It's certainly not impossible for these cars to hit those numbers, it just takes a little more usually than what he has mentioned so far. BTW I don't remember reading anywhere in this thread about what cams he is running or who's ported heads either. It can make a huge difference. |
