Default Any body with an SCT flash tuner

Just curious how in depth the programming goes..Can I adjust shift points by RPM? When you adjust the shift firmness how drastic is it? The main reason I'm asking is we just refinanced our house and guess what no mortgage payment for 2.5 monthsI am thinking of getting an MRT catted h and gears as I am installing MM lca's tomorrow A.M. and have a magnapack cat-back coming in on Tuesday. Since I have an auto I am not going to play around and drive without a tune after gear install.

I've got a manual, but I'm pretty sure you can adjust all the transmission controls yourself with an auto. If not you can buy it off of American Muscle with a Bamachips tune loaded on it for free.

Yes sir you can. Just be advised that unless you know what your doing don't do it until your more experienced because you can really mess things up if your not careful.

your not going to mess to much up with a handheld tuner.. as long as your not dicking with the fuel settings without a wideband its pretty idiot proof.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I was only talking about adjusting the shift point to around 5500-5800 rpm and may, maybe adjusting shift firmness

i dont have an auto, so i cant help you there. Honestly i have one, and to me you cant really adjust much. You have tire size, rear end gears, 3 rpm windows to adjust timing i think, and a few rpm windows for fuel. Then a few other features, like what temp you want your fan to come on and max rev limiter. Basically when i really started looking at it i wanted to be able to do more. But If you ever plan on a dyno tune i guess you kinda need it.

just get one, move your shift points and jack up your shift pressure and go.

i use an sct x3 with and auto and while you can adjust shift points it is by mph and not rpm which it should be i think . iirc it is +5 mph to -5 .
