Well if you work on your launch you can get some of those .1's off without working through the shifting issue.

You can do it with what you have now, just get the 60' down to around 2.0 and get this shifting issue ironed out and you'll be fine.

And tbird, I agree that my statement might have been a little strong. But nowhere in my post am I actually wrong. Trailor is in the fact that in the TSB from his thread he linked to said Motorcraft, not Mobil1 and he also said whats good for a cobra is not good for a GT which is absurd. Im just saying that if I was wrong, the person correcting me should at least be correct.

Trailor, I appologize for the strong words. But im not going to change what I said in the post.
Anyone calling someone wrong about a matter should have their "facts" in a row and know what they are talking about. That's common knowledge. Or at least common sense.

My response was more about the tone of your comment which came off pretty damn harsh considering you were getting pissed at him for something he didn't say. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to have a civil discussion where people actually learn instead of 1/2 the threads on here turning into a BS flag waving frenzy.

Edit: Smitty, You are closer than you think to the 13s. 2.2 60ft is what is killing you. 2.0 is very attainable with street tires. But If I were you I'd consider getting some DRs on a set of v6 wheels or something to cut your work in half.

And for the tone I appologized for if you didnt see. I just dont feel like going back through that post and changing everything that makes the tone sound harsh. My point was made, however harsh, and i appologized for the harshness, just dont feel like editing the whole post to make it nice. But when he said that the authors of that TSB recommends Mobil1, he was wrong as that TSB stated clearly that its recommended to use Motorcraft. So when saying a document(the TSB he was referring to) recommended one tranny fluid(mobil1) and it actually says something different(motorcraft), that is classified as being wrong. I just stated originally what termie owners say helps them, and they have probably some of the harshest shifting transmissions for mustangs. At least thats what ive read a lot of people say(not a proven fact). Thats why i thought i would suggest it that it might help.

sweet, it was a little embarrassing brining a helmet my first time down the track only to pull a 15.5 ahahaha

thanks for the input guys! I just can't justify buying stuff for track use only since I have other priorities to pay for and I don't go to the track on a regular basis.

But when that time comes...I'll know what to do lol

Tell me about it. My first three trips to the track, I was missing 50rwhp thanks to a set of clogged catalytic converters. I managed to be scraping 13.8-9 off the bottom of the barrel.

stock 6er wheels with any of these...

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HOO-17325/

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MTT-3793R/

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BFG-82116/

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MNH-ROD18/

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NIT-180480/

Any of those on some sixxer wheels would help those 60' times a lot. Especially the M&H's, Hoosiers, and the MT's. But then 'you gotta worry about axles snapping and stuff. But you gotta pay to play.

Best reason why I won't get D/R's lol I don't care about reaching 13's THAT bad to go buy D/R's and risk snapping axles. I go MAYBE once every 3 weeks if not less to the track...so I can't justify getting them. Thanks for the links tho TJ.

If I could have some occasional fun on some decent V6 rims with OK street tires, then I'd be happy. I'll comb craigslist lol
