But when he said that the authors of that TSB recommends Mobil1, he was wrong as that TSB stated clearly that its recommended to use Motorcraft. So when saying a document(the TSB he was referring to) recommended one tranny fluid(mobil1) and it actually says something different(motorcraft), that is classified as being wrong. I just stated originally what termie owners say helps them, and they have probably some of the harshest shifting transmissions for mustangs. At least thats what ive read a lot of people say(not a proven fact). Thats why i thought i would suggest it that it might help.
How could you claim it absurd that tranny fluids are not universal? If they were universal, theyd all have the same names/numbers and not such a wide variety (ie dex/merc III, mercon IV, mercon V, etc.) For example, I wouldn't put mercon V in my mustangs tranny cuz thats not whats recommended, but it is what i put in my f150 because that is whats recommended. To say otherwise is aboslutely absurd. Believe it or not, t3650's, t45's and t56's have a good bit of differences between them, and thus should not be treated as though they are the same transmissions, nor should you assume they take the same tranny fluid. They have different synchros, shifters, throwout bearings, etc., and thus will not be as likely to react the same way with the same fluid. You may do your own research, as I did at one point, but I see no reason to continue researching with this petty argument/discussion. Also, tremec has their own tsb for the 3650, which recommends mobil 1 atf, and, seeing as you don't believe me, you should ask cliffyk for the other link, which I could not find, that proves my point. I do accept your apology, but I stand by the belief that nothing I said was wrong.

Well then you should have said that you were talking about another TSB other than the one that was accessable through the link you provided. But Im going to have to just say that I will agree to disagree cus there is no reason to argue it out over the internet.

Anywho....after a little playing around again today(when I'm not all hopped up on adrenaline and I'm paying attention to the car), I have noticed that it does take a bit more grunt to get into 3rd on semi WOT and WOT 2-3 shifts around 5k rpm. That being said, I think it's my "trying to shift too quick" and adrenaline filled brain that is making me look like a jacka$$ at the track lol.

But like anything, the more practice, the calmer I will become and focus more. Even though my best pass to date was against a 9sec car ahaha. THAT didn't help me any.
