just remember guys, when you see guys run on the street, they don't always run full out. I know I dont for fact. I usually pedal it just enough to beat the guy, unless he's a douche, and then I put buss lengths on him.

but most of the guys I've come across will do the same thing, they wont race full out unless the car is a pretty even match. Sets it up for rematches.

Gotta agree with you on that one. Leaving work one day, this guy from my job had an Expedtion with some exhaust and CAI. We get to a light and he takes off when it turns green. I put the hammer down and caught him preety quick and put about a car on him before I eased off. Went to work the next day and was told he was saying how he hung in there with me, blah, blah.

Also I ran a yellow SS a while back and I wasn't too impressed. It was an auto though. We both took off from a light and if I can remember my back tires were at his front fender after we shut down at about 85. Preety sure if we had gone a little longer he would have walked the dog on me.

400? easily... ive just been lagging with my car. i started putting it off and things kept popping up. Its funny how people are under estimating the SS. aint no blot on 2v beating that car with 426 hp, its about the same speed as a new 5.0 (drivers race)... Evolution Performance just got a new 5.0 to go 10.90's NA with slicks, some suspension, and a diet. I guess we will see bolton 2v beating up on those too

We were rolling, so driving ability didn't do a whole lot. The automatic SS is the L99, not the LS3, so it only makes 400HP. My GT is lighter and my 4V was in it's power band, but still. I have yet to dyno my car, but a guy that did the exact same swap as me got 274RWP.

Keep in mind the weights of these respective cars. A 1996 GT is going to weigh a whole lot less than a 2010 SS, wouldn't it?

how much boost would you have to be making to see around 400rwhp?

This...the auto is much slower than the manual due to 26 less hp and a weaker drivetrain.

last night i raced my buddys 2010 ss from a dead stop 5 times, all runs pretty much was the same. Id catch a jump on him and at around 50 he catches me and starts passing me, by 80 he was 2 cars ahead. its pretty damn fast! my goal is to whoop him but i think i have a long way to go, all i
have done so far is x pipe ,flowmaster mufflers, typhoon intake, throttle body spacer and cold air intake
