people wh have swapped to a tb/plenum after being blown got like 10HP to the wheels. I dont think they are worth it. 360RWHP is going to feel the same as 370RWHP. For a DD car, a centri blower with some gears would be a VERY fun car to drive and still be in the 12s.

Alright, and lets throw another out there. Cams, what kind of power gains you looking at there ? Don't think the car would see cams or a blower for a while as I would like to enlist by the fall. But It'd be on the list for the future.

i want to add a few things....first, as far as the tuner goes, not sure about an auto, but with the manual, i felt it was a waste of money, but you need one for dyno tunes....in hind sight id save for a bigger tuner than the sct x3....something that has a lot more end user adjustment, maybe sniper stuff.....imo. Second, and this is a big one im sure people may fight me on this....but if your looking for better 1/4 mile times, i wouldnt waste money on gears unless you have sticky tires. if your going to run street tires, and are looking for ets you wont have enough traction to make up the time. I put my 3.90s in they are great for driving around way more fun factor....but at the track, im buying DRs now, and then i may gain back what i lost. This may be a bit different for an auto, im useing the experiance in my manual.

The tb/upper intake was the only mod i did that felt like it made a difference, but alot of the throttle response comes for the larger TB letting more air in sooner, as far as1/4 mile improvement, there may be none. NA cams i think can get you 30-40hp, blower cams might get you half that without the blower, and more than that with the blower. either way have to be able to dyno tune, or do a tune yourself with a good handheld like the sniper stuff and a wide band O2 sensor.

Hope this helps?

Yea, I'm not gonna race the **** out of the car, since as I stated I have the 79 to race on. But I wouldn't mind getting it to the track a few times. Make a couple passes at a test n tune. I thought the tuner would be nice for the auto as it changes shift points ect correct ? Only question is, being a DD would the changes in pressures/shift points cause any damage on something driven daily ? I figured gears for the feeling(acceleration) and the tuner to recalibrate and adjust some little stuff. (shifting ect) Plus, gears are what, approx $150, guy will install for $100. Pretty cheap mod.

like i was saying, its more matter of what your looking for...If your not going to run sticky tires and you dont care about having a 14.xx time slip, then gears are totally worth it. cuzz around town just regular driving is great, and even when your racing it it feels great, the time just dont sound great. The tuner isnt a bad thing to have, im just looking at it like i wish i had bought one of the do it yourself programers instread of the x cal 3

Why is nitrous out of the question Explosive ? Cheap and fun to use. That seems like the right choice for what kind of car your gonna make it.

this is what I ran about 1 month ago. I have a 04 gt engine w/ only airhog filter. Stock 3:27s, nt555r, 255lph walbro, ram clutch, ford racing shorties, mac tru x-pipe, flows launching at 3.5. I was disappointed cuz I didn't break into the 13s. I granny shifted too. I didn't have the ***** to powerrshift because that was my first time to the track ever.

WIth that said, you should hit almost or mid 13s with your set up if you drive good. Let us kow how you did.

i dint think he is going tohit 13 for the simple fact he is on street tires. thats just my opinion. with a drag radial i think mid 13 is ideal

I don't like nitrous because it's temporary IMO. Personally I'm a fan of N/A motors, but I'm also ok with boost. I'd be happy with 13's for a DD. I'm not looking to build the car just for racing ( yet, haha) Maybe longer into the future. I'd rather spend the cash on the 79 to strictly race as it's wayyy faster.
