did you put those tires on right after you did the springs? if so that could be your problem.

On my truck and my mustang i had it aligned too soon, before the springs settled, and that happened to em. but if not it could still just be a bad alignment i'd say

That's how my tires look every time I get new ones. It's an alignment issue for sure.

^ More to the point, this is neg. camber, as mentioned earlier, and a GOOD thing in my book. Running -2* and my last set of 888's were slightly worse than those

If you like to rip the twisties and don't mind the extra $$$.... leave 'er as is.

They always get on my case about this at the local GoodYear store (a group of good guys here in St. Aug.)--and I'm only running a bit over -1.3°...

I have to keep telling them that "If how long tires lasted was my major concern I'd be driving a Corolla!"

[HIGHJACK]

Jazzer,

Do you have wheel balance, or "wheel balance-like", problems as the tires wear?

I am fighting a rather annoying steering wheel shake at 55 to 60 (centered on 57.5) mph right now, every 300 miles or so I make them re-balance the front wheels. They are using a Hunter 9700 and doing a "road-load" balance, and even spinning the tires each time to get it right--then 300-500 miles later it's back?

Just got 'em balanced again today (it's gonna' make them rethink "life-time" balancing!).

No balance issues and seems it would be more likely running such wide wheels, so don't know what to tell you. Although, with such aggressive camber, my tires are shot on the inside when there is still some tread left. I could go though the trouble to swap rims to rotate, but they are heat-cycled out by this point anyway.

Sure they are not using cheap weights (or aleast cheap adheasive) that allow them to fly off? I see that I have lost weights and supposedly the #1 item that is found by highway cleaning crews. No balance issues though.
