Default Best Clutch for 99-04 GT

Im trying to decide on a clutch kit for my 02 GT. I was leaning toward a spec stage 2+ clutch but I've heard mixed reviews about spec clutches so Im a little skeptical. I havent heard much about any other clutches for my car so Im not exactly which clutch would be the best choice. Id like it to support around 450hp and be less than $400. Any suggestions?

I just installed a RAM "Musclecar" series (Summit's house branded RAM HDX) and am very pleased with it.

RAM says it has 30% more clamping force and is good to 450HP. I don't know about the 450HP part, however my left leg will attest to the higher clamping force--not at all objectionable, but quite noticeable at first.

I also used a little heard of (in the Mustang world) Ralco RZ chromaloy flywheel--I have run these on my supercharged Miatas and was always happy with them.

The Mustang unit is just as well made, meets SFI specs, and weighs 8lbs less than the OEM flywheel.

It's a great combination, usable for DD but much more grip than stock...

Call these people (http://www.promotionpowertrain.com/N...UTCH_PAGE.html) and let them spec you out a clutch. Ask for Walt , he's a clutch guru, be warned he will talk forever about clutches. lol
