SCT Eliminator as first mod?

If you give me details on the chips, I may have a line to get them for you...

The only real source is other model 9450A scopes, all of which are now 16 to 20 years old and suffering the same problems--or power supply issues, also a big pile of proprietary LSI and VLSI stuff. I.e. they are boat-anchors; I need to get my butt in gear and sell the two I have for parts before they are worth nothing...
I got sick of fixing them and bought one of these. I have the previous model, a WJ-332 (no A), the only difference is the colour of the case--mine is ivory--they even use the same firmware.

Very slick....
Here is what I got to use at my last job, working on induction heat treating and melting equipment across the country...that was a wild job...I have seen magnetic fields do unimaginable things lol.
I used a tektronix in school as well, a 2 channel though...They really are fantastic-easy to use and very durable. Grr...this just reminds me how much more useless I become everyday doing the job I am doing now...I want to get back into things like this again...stupid economy...
Cliff, did you teach yourself about electronics or what>? I know you went to school for mechanical engineering, but you seem like you have a vast knowledge of electronics, more than me that's for sure.
