A new shortblock and everything timing wise from a 4v, rewiring the COP wires, all the right exhaust components. if youre going to do this, buy a longblock with intake and everything already on it. Dont try to take your 2v shortblock and use 4v heads on it as your compression will be like 8.2:1...which is a point and a half below stock compression. Not really a smart idea. You might even need a 4v wiring harness as well.

A.K.A - Not worth it....better off just buying the whole 4v motor.

Cheapest way to 4v a GT is to find a Lincoln Mark 8 with the 4v engine and swap that in. There's a thread in here somewhere with the details on the swap and everything you'll need. Keep in mind the Lincoln has a cast bottom end so you really shouldn't rev it much (if any) higher than the 2v engine, and if you want to put a tougher bottom end in it you're looking at quite a bit of money. I found a Lincoln Mark 8 on Craigslist with a good engine for $800, if you can find something like that (or check a junkyard) and sell off the spare parts it could pay for itself and you'll get your 4v engine out of the deal.

+1 Check my guide. The cast iron crank really doesn't take away the ability to rev. Every Mark VIII I have ever seen shifts at around 6400RPM factory and will rev to 7K.
