thanks for the help everyone, i went out today and got my drive belt and spark plugs checked and they were great and looked new. i also changed all my fluids and my filters were fine. i just gotta clean my IAC valve and flush the radiator next week, then i'll look more into that link you posted. thanks for your help on getting my car checked and maintained. is there anything else to get it back to stage 0 before i start doing or looking more into upgrades or modifications?

Get a K&N air filter for your intake it. Its sooo worth it even if the filter is okay.

Clean the engine bay.

Inspect brakes, check alignment.

Nothing else really off the top of my head. I'm thinking your pretty much at square 1.

Yea the drop in filter will do the same as the Cai except itll save you money for better mods such as exhaust. Thats what id do next, exhaust (xpipe & catback) along with Tuner. Then kinda feel around from there.

If you need anything else.... start a new thread or just let me know. good luck

oh and if its still there, take off that stupid looking snorkle that goes from the filter box to the fenderwell. its worthless. if you want more air to it, you can cut a bigger hole there in the fenderwell after you remove the snorkle, but it won't really be necessary
